Bone Pikorua (Twists) are carvings that are recognizable by the crisscross from. These pendants represent one of the original eternity symbols. The single twist in particular represents the joining together of two people for eternity. The double and triple twists have a similar meaning but more so refers to the joining of two peoples or cultures rather than individuals. This style of pendants often carries a special and private message of love and sharing between individuals.
Koru (Spiral) bone carvings represent peace, tranquility, regrowth and new beginnings. They are also commonly associated with nurturing and when connected with other Koru pendants it is used to represent the strength, purity and bonds in a loving relationship whether between friends, partners, spouses or parent/child relationships it shows the beginning and growth that happens in that relationship. Back of pendant is plain with no layering.
