Wahaika also known as "Mouth of the Fish" is a type of traditional hand weapon of the Māori. A Wahaika is a short club normally made of wood or whalebone. The club has a notch on one side which is used to catch an opponent's weapon when in hand to hand combat. This traditional club has been stylized and turned into a piece of wearable art by Tonijae and Liam Brockway. Not recommended to wear stained pendants in water as it could affect the staining.
